Not overly pleased with the way this turned out but, yeah, experience… yaddah… yaddah…
I was going to say that this should be familiar to everyone whose driven along the M4 in Wales, but obviously, the people who commit this heinous act must be blissfully unaware of the situation. What really narks me, is that they speed up the minute the pull in front of the vehicle they’re “passing” *grinds teeth*.
I’m back! Sorry for not putting anything up last week – been a bit down with personal stuff and not in the mood for making funnies. Well, trying…
Anyhoo, here’s a bit of fun with the impending doom of our nation.Hopefully I’ve managed to avoid the pitfalls of political cartooning that have been rightly lampooned by Penny Arcade, well perhaps not. The image is pure political commentary, mind you, it’s not a childish poke at the Cam-Clegg love-up (that might be, though… oops!). Also, I was going for an 80’s action poster vibe but the depiction of Clegg in a diminished, feminine role kinda rings with right wing jibes at Sally Bercow and her Speaker hubby (warning: link to Daily Mail). Layers, peeps, layers.
Just a little reconstruction of a trip to the cinema where my choice of snack selection was pretty poor.
I think the drawing itself serves as a good example of why I ought to warm up before I start inking. I didn’t really get anything right until panel 3… Also, those who have been here more than once may have noticed that I’ve started lettering by hand (digital hand, anyway). Hope it’s an improvement, if you’ve an opinion, leave a comment! I don’t get many…
Doubley belated comic, this. First up, it’s late for the Monday update (but still on the same day, so not too bad). Second up, the hoohah around the “Ground-Zero Mosque” thing seems to have died down, on this side of the pond, at least. If you feel the inverted commas above are misused then you need to read this. As for Newt, he’s the fella who got a bit excited and invoked Godwin’s Law on the telly.
Hope you like, belated or not…
If you’ve not been part of a yo-yo craze then this might be lost on you, but hey, thanks for trying! Basically, my younger brother had bought one at the airport and spent most of the weekend smashing the house up. I stuck to the tricks I knew from my younger days and my youngest brother… well… panel three says it all.
Apologies for missing Monday’s post, got a bit busy (not with yo-yos). I’m sure you coped!
Here’s a new comic after only a slight delay! I’ve been immensely busy in my real life job so I had to bust this out in record time using a different method to my usual. I’m quite pleased with how it looks considering in nearly ripped it up half way through.
I’ve been playing through Arkham Asylum again, partly out of anticipation for Arkham City but mainly because Batman rocks!
Didn’t much feel like making comics this weekend due to real life problems but a chat with my lil’ sis’ on her birthday cheered me up and gave me some material! Hooray!
As shown above, I quite appallingly didn’t know my sister was representing our fine nation at the game known as Association Football. Moreover, they recorded a record win. Still, I indulged her in the guessing game, and recorded it (with some artistic license) for posterity.
Happy Birthday, Em, and well done Wales!
Ahh, if only Leon Kennedy had some “De-wormer”, eh?
What’s that? … ”The magnum sort of counts”?
Yes, friends, it sort of does.
This is an abridged version of a conversation I actually had. I don’t think my mate was as upset as depicted, but he probably will be upset by the way I’ve depicted him. I’m a social success story!
For those unfamiliar, here’s Papillon, and those excellent chargers.
