Hello and welcome to the Republic of Jones. My own little state of independence floating around on the internet’s high seas.
So what’s it all about? Basically, the aim is to get me doing “creative” stuff on a regular basis. Whether I’m actually achieving this is, of course, rather subjective but, at the very least, I’m supposed to be doing stuff a couple of times a week. There is no particular fixed subject or theme, strips cover whatever my mind’s tenuous grasp on reality spills out. Currently there have been some vaguely autobiographical things, commentary on current affairs, pop culture stuff and some geek stuff, too! In order to give some sort of consistent frame of reference, particularly for the autobiographical stuff, there are two recurrent characters:

My comic incarnation, basically me with my conscience removed i.e. childish, vaguely cruel, and yes, dumb. |

The archetypal foil to Jones. Based, of course, on my actual long suffering girlfriend ex-girlfriend, “The Girlfriend” is always on hand to puncture Jones’ delusions of grandeur with a dose of reality. Yeah, I probably don’t include this character in strips so much these days  |
